Roster Rumblings: Interest in Bobby Crosby, but not in trading Cabrera

- The Tigers are interested in former Oakland infielder Bobby Crosby -- and the feelings are mutual -- MLB.com's Jason Beck reports. (Via MLB Trade Rumors)
- I am not into that idea at all. It's not just that he is oft-injured. I don't believe Crosby is an above-average shortstop any more, and he bats more like Adam Everett.
- A little background on Crosby? Well, Athletics Nation was very happy to get rid of him (and the A's finished in last place, so what's that tell you?) And his dad complains to the press.
- As far a a low-cost backup options ... that's Ramon Santiago. And I'm not sure Crosby ('s dad) sees that role as likely at this point.
- I really just hope the Tigers find a way to bring back Adam Everett, frankly, unless it's for more than $3M a year or two years.
- Jon Paul Morosi writes at FoxSports.com the Tigers have little interest in trading Miguel Cabrera, though that could change if they got the right offer. The likelihood of trading Edwin Jackson or Curtis Granderson is higher, Morosi thinks. (Via MLB Trade Rumors)
- The Phillies are interested in reliever Brandon Lyon, the Philly Daily News reports. Now that he's been offered arbitration, his signing with the Phillies would net the Tigers a "sandwich" pick between the first and second rounds. (Via The Cutoff Man)
